What are all these chocolates and flowers and heart-shaped cards doing scattered everywhere around the . . . wait a minute. Is this Valentine’s Day?
We hadn’t noticed.
If you weren’t already aware, we at Eerdmans Books for Young Readers are foregoing Valentine’s Day this year to celebrate International Book Giving Day instead!
That’s right: today’s the day you can enter to win one of five pairs of picture books from EBYR. Each of our lucky winners will each receive two copies of a book — one to keep and one to give away.
With the aid of some helpful EerdWord commenters, we’ve narrowed down our list of prizes to the following five titles, from which each of our randomly chosen winners will get to choose one favorite.
To enter our contest, click the link below. You’ll have the option of logging in with Facebook or email (we’ll need some way to contact you if you win!); you may then choose from several possible methods of entry. You can even use multiple entry methods to increase your odds of winning!
2/15/13 Update: Thanks to everyone who entered our giveaway! The entry period is now over. Winners are being notified by email today and will be announced on EerdWord early next week.

If I win, we will add one to our library and give one to another bibliophile family.
