  Thomas and the Gospels

  Christianity Today’s Rachel Marie Stone interviewed Ben Witherington III on “How to Eat, Play, Love — And Do Other Christian Acts” and his new book The Rest of Life: Rest, Play, Eating, Studying, Sex from a Kingdom Perspective. Anthony Billington also mentioned the book and the interview on Billington’s Blog.

• Ben Anderson posted  Dominick Anthony Zarcone’s six-part review of Ralph Martin’s Will Many Be Saved? on Cleansing Fire.
• The Gospel Coalition’s Justin Holcomb quoted both Richard Mouw (Abraham Kuyper: A Short and Personal Introduction) and James Bratt (Abraham Kuyper: Modern Calvinist, Christian Democrat) in his Kuyperian profile “Theologian Hero to a Nation.”
• As part of their Anti-Bullying feature, Publishers Weekly included Joe Lawlor’s debut novel Bully.com (coming in April 2013) among its selection of “Bullying Resources.”
• A letter to the editor by Marcia Pally (The New Evangelicals) concerning “Left Evangelicals“ was published in the New York Times Sunday Book Review. Pally was also quoted in the CNN Belief Blog article “The Gospel according to Obama.”
• Mark Noll (Jesus Christ and the Life of the Mind) sat down with John Piper at Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis Thursday evening for a stimulating conversation on “the right relationship between the Christian’s knowledge of the natural world and his knowledge of God.”
• 

  Still My Grandma

  Veronique Van Den Abeele and Claude K. Dubois’s Still My Grandma was a recommended read in the Buffalo News feature “Books can help kids understand Alzheimer’s.”
