• Today is the last day to help one lucky poet win $100 in free Eerdmans books by voting in our Book Spine Poetry Photo Contest.  Cast one vote each for up to three favorite poems here. Voting ends at midnight tonight; winners will be announced on Monday.
• Fifteen advance F&Gs of Niki Daly’s forthcoming picture book The Herd Boy — an inspiring story set in South Africa — are up for grabs through LibraryThing’s Early Review program in September. Click here to request your copy.

Talking with Mormons

• Richard Mouw (Talking with Mormons: An Invitation to Evangelicals) joined Stephen Mansfield and Mollie Ziegler Hemingway in offering answers to the question “Is There Anything Wrong with Voting for a Mormon for President?” for Christianity Today.
• Anthony Le Donne (Historical Jesus: What Can We Know and How Can We Know It?) and Chris Keith have launched a lively new blog dedicated to Jesus studies. Be sure to check out The Jesus Blog — and don’t miss Le Donne’s warm welcome post.
• Michelle Markel and Amanda Hall’s The Fantastic Jungles of Henri Rousseau was included on The DC Spotlight’s top ten “Books to Know” for September.
• The Renewal Ministries blog shared an impressive collection of endorsements for Ralph Martin’s new book Will Many Be Saved? What Vatican II Actually Teaches and Its Implications for the New Evangelization.
• The Cooperative Children’s Book Center website is currently featuring Cynthia Grady and Michele Wood’s I Lay My Stitches Down as their book of the week. You can see the cover image in the lower left corner of their home page, and clicking on it leads their review.
• Steve Kopp reviewed Thomas Bergler’s The Juvenilization of American Christianity for the Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship Leadership Blog, saying that it “has forced me to ask important questions about the effect juvenlization has had on our church.”
• Nick Norelli showed off his two new (very photogenic, we might add) Eerdmans books on Instagram. We can’t wait to read his thoughts on Called to Lead and After Vatican II!
• Tim Høiland dug six months back into his archive to share again his great review (“Not one square inch!“) of Richard Mouw’s Abraham Kuyper: A Short and Personal Introduction.
